| Satellite Mobile Unite Project description: Project sponsor: Swe-dish AB/Ericsson Mobile Systems Project length: 6 month (1999-2000) Through cooperation with Swe-dish BoxModul developed a completely automatic and mobile radio base unit. The mast sections reach 16,1 m and the entire unit can be transported by a regular SUV or similar. The concept comes in handy when big catastrophes occur or when the network need to be temporary supported during big events etc. Results: Two complete units have been delivered to Ericsson Respons. They have for instance been used in the New Orleans (USA) disaster 2005. |
